Brian R. Williams graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design, in Columbus, Ohio. Aside from his Illustration-major coursework, he took classes in graphic design, digital prepress, figure drawing, painting, watercolor, creative writing, and minored in Art History. During his final year, Brian signed up for senior thesis, a course only required for fine art majors, and exhibited his Oneiric series of paintings. While he was in school, Brian interned at the Columbus Museum of Art and was hired full-time after graduation to design educational and promotional material for the Museum's Education Department.

He currently works as a freelance graphic designer, artist, and CCAD instructor.
